How to Sew An Apron

sewing, apron

The How to Sew An Apron sewing kit will teach you some basic techniques while you make a fabulous apron with pocket(s), ties, and adjustable neck strap. Pick a pretty cotton print with contrasting pocket and ties or make a man-size b-b-q apron or an art project apron for a little one.

This apron sewing pattern is perfect as a first project for beginner sewers. Why? Because it has only 4 pattern pieces (front, pocket and ties). It also has very detailed step-by-step directions written with the beginner sewer in mind. Can you bake a cake following the box directions? Make a casserole following your mom's family recipe? Just like that, you'll have a beautiful apron.

Some of the sewing skills that you'll learn along the way:
fabric layout, staystitching, clean finishing, machine hemming, grading, and understitching. All skills that you'll use frequently as you begin your sewing adventures.

Your Apron Making Kit contains:

Palmer/Pletsch Apron pattern "for Artists and Chefs". The pattern ranges in size from Adult small thru Extra Large, and Childs Extra Small thru Large.

Package of D-rings to use for the adjustable next strap

Kalico Fabric info sheet on how to clean finish

Kalico Fabric info sheet on how to staystitch, and why you need to.

Kalico Fabric info sheet on grading seams

Kalico Fabric info sheet on understitching

Kalico Fabric info sheet on how to decipher a pattern envelope (there's a lot of stuff on there!)

Apron Sewing Kit $12.95
