Sewing Notions

One thing I know for sure is that buying sewing notions, especially as a beginner, can be very confusing. How do you know what to look for, especially when you don't know what it is? And if your class supply list tells you to buy fray check, for example, aren't you curious why you need it? And where do you find it in the local fabric store?

So, I've decided to put together kits of notions that you could spend a lot of time and money trying to find. If you are a brand new sewer, then you'll probably want a Beginners Sewing Kit.

Or, if you're a little more experienced and want to find some tools that will make your sewing easier, then we've set up an Intermediate Sewing Kit.

For those sewers who are ready for some quilting and quick cutting, we've got supplies for you in our Advanced Sewing Kit.

Do you think you've got all the supplies you need? I've got a challenge for you - How much do you know about pressing -vs- ironing while sewing? And when was the last time you cleaned your iron? Check out the ingredients that could help you make your sewing look more professional, in our Professional Pressing Kit.

Do your threads and needles break? Want to know why? Find out by buying the "right" needles and thread, then use the needle guide and instruction sheet contained in our Needle Guide Kit.
